“We stayed in the tatami room on top - a bit difficult due to the staircase, but perfectly nice and quiet. The place is a hostel, but I cannot really comment on the hostel part. What I can say is that Shinpei is fluent in English and that is a great help, especially as he's a very nice guy. If you want to saty near Dogo Onsen and are on a budget: Very good choice.”

“This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

“This is an excellent hotel a five minute walk from the JR Matsuyama City station. The hotel rooms were clean and air-conditioned and the amenities were good. I would specially commend this hotel for the excellent breakfast spread. It's very much a Japanese breakfast, but the variety was amazing. I would stay at this hotel again just for the breakfast.”
